On Wednesday 21st May the Under 45kg team went to Kelston Boys High School to try defend the Western Zone title we won in 2014.
We won all three of our pool games vs Waterview, Konini and Titirangi then beat Rosebank in the quarter final. We played St Leonards in the semi final and lost 2-3. However we missed Zyroam one of our best players because he got injured in the quarter final. St Leonards won the final vs New Lynn. We played Ranui in the 3rd 4th playoff and won so of 12 teams we came 3rd! WELL DONE BOYS! A BIG THANK YOU TO MIKE STRANG FOR COACHING THE TEAM. His training before the day made a huge difference.!!!
Thanks to Matua and a parent for shouting some McDonalds afterwards to celebrate...Go NWS LEAGUE BOYS!!!
We are a bilingual māori class at New Windsor School from Auckland, New Zealand. We learn, create and share around our school values be respectful, be responsible and be the best we can be. Ngā mihi o te wā!
