Our Putaiao/science session yesterday with Whaea Emma a maori rongoa practitioner talking to us about nga momo rakau maori and the healing properties.

APPA choir festival
APPA FESTIVAL OF MUSIC choir evening . Very proud of our haka boys Kingstin VJ Hohepa Joseph and Atu. Then John Henry did us all proud with his solo and prince outfit...Well done to all our choir students for learning all your words and moves. Thank you to our TWP students for joining choir when I encouraged you all. Big mihi to Whaea Rhoda who is sick at home but worked hard all year training the choir....A great night for our tamariki and whanau xx

KAURI CPT VARIETY SHOW
Our Kauri CPT variety show with Rooms 7..17..24..27. We had Myah do her Cook Island dance..Donna sang the Moana song 'How far Ill go'...we sang and danced 'Wairua'..Sign language and sang 'Ma te kahukura'...An awesome show!!!

Haerenga ki te Whare taonga
Our CPT Rooms 7 ..17..25 and 27 went to the Auckland Domain Museum..our focus was from our Polynesian Migration unit...we saw lots of interestings things ..te marae Hotunui..waka taua..map of the polynesian languages...whakairo...so many things..GREAT DAY!!!!

Otara Spinal Unit visit
A small ropu of 10 was invited to the Otara Spinal Unit by Whaea Olive Hart ..Addisons mama..
We were able to perform a bracket of waiata to help the patients and staff celebrate Maori Language Week. KA RAWE!!!

Tri star Gym trip
We went to Tri star gym today to use all the apparatus. Its a bit smelly in there but lots of fun.

Making hangi stuffing
Our tamariki in rms 17 & 18 helped make hangi stuffing for a hangi being put on for Whaea Meres whanau this Friday afternoon.
We used bread, onions, mixed herbs and butter for our ingredients.
We broke up the bread in little pieces, diced the onions and added the mixed herbs and mixed them altogether. We added the melted butter and mixed it all up. It smelt wonderful!!
We put in in some muslin cloth reading for the hangi. Tino pai tenei wheako!!
